Created in 2016, the 'La Via del Carnaroli' project is implemented by the Pavia Chamber of Commerce and is promoted by the main agricultural associations in the area. It aims to create a certified supply chain of Carnaroli rice from Pavia Carnaroli seeds.
'La Via del Carnaroli' is a project of the Pavia Chamber of Commerce for the valorisation of the Pavia agri-food chain of Carnaroli rice from Carnaroli seed.
Supply chain certified by CSQA, a leading certification body in the food, food and beverage sectors for voluntary supply chain certification based on the ISO 22005 standard
The registered trademark 'Carnaroli from Carnaroli pavese' guarantees that only Carnaroli rice from Carnaroli seed, cultivated in rice fields in the province of Pavia, is in that box

CARNAROLI is the rice variety that represents Pavia and its territory more than any other. The area of origin of CARNAROLI is in fact the PAVESE: Pavia is the leading rice-producing province in Europe. The 'La Via del Carnaroli' project, implemented by the Pavia Chamber of Commerce, and promoted by the local agricultural associations Cia, Coldiretti and Confagricolturaaims to create a certified supply chain for Carnaroli rice from Carnaroli Pavese seed, according to the UNI ISO 22005 standard.
CARNAROLI PAVESE is a very popular rice due to its special composition and the presence of amylose: the grains are very firm, ensuring perfect cooking and separation of the grains even when the preparation is not consumed immediately.
